Here is my update:
Day 1-3 were intense. VERY intense. I didn’t think I was going to continue. But on day 4 I was no longer YELLING at Jillian – lol – it was still a tough workout, but I made it without getting mad at her! The sore muscles lasted the first 4 days but have subsided. I did not do the workout all 9 days. One day last week I did a power walk instead. We have a beautiful trail across from our home so I did a power walk. I did 4 miles and it felt great! I did the same thing early this morning – 3.8 miles. Although today I will also have time to do the 30 Day Shred, so I get two workouts!
Can I see a difference? ABSOLUTELY. First of all, I feel great. I have been on Weight Watchers for about 8wks now, I have been averaging about 1.5 – 2.0 lbs a week. Last week when I started the 30day Shred, I lost FIVE POUNDS in 1 week! Now that’s huge! The other difference is in my stamina! My walks used to be pretty slow and I’d want to give up after 15 minutes. Now I look forward to them and don’t want to stop! I chalk it up to being about 20lbs less, strength training using the 30day shred, and the wonderful Christian station I found on my Smartphone! lol! (I downloaded the App Pandora and listen to a Casting Crown Station- it’s AWESOME)
I am now down 20.5 pounds in 2 months. I’m only down 1 pant size (any thoughts on this?). The hardest part for me is finding the time to squeeze in workouts. The 30day shred is only 20 minutes, but it’s still really hard to find those 20 minutes.
