2012 KIA OPTIMA HYBRID
This past week I was able to test drive & review the Kia Optima Hybrid. It was extremely hard to give this car back to Kia. I immediately fell in love with it. And as you will see below, the entire family loved it!
To begin – this car is hot! I felt like I was 21 again – and that was a very, very long time ago. It is a gorgeous car. It has a sporty look to it, but is actually a nice size sedan. It’s sleek. I loved it. The kids thought it was cool. And dad thought it was pretty awesome too! Inside & out we were sold!

One of my favorite features – touch screen that had EVERYTHING – GPS, AM/FM Radio, Sirius Radio, and my favorite: Back up Camera!!
Let’s talk about the AWESOME gas mileage this car gets! Highway MPG average:40! (ranges 33-47!!) Let’s just say that the car arrived with a full tank. 7 days later, we still had over 1/4 of a tank and BOTH my husband AND I took this car everywhere. Drop off/pickup the kids each day – thats 2 round trips. I work from home, but my husband used the car for work and work meetings. Plus all of our errands. I absolutely love the gas mileage we got. AWESOME!!!
FIVE STAR Frontal Crash rating. 5 star rollover safety rating. 5 star rear seat side crash rating and 3 star front seat side crash rating. Not bad at all!!
Before you hear the family’s thoughts – I just want to say that from a MOM’s standpoint – I absolutely love this car. If it were 12 years ago (pre-kids) I would have this car. It’s fuel efficient, safe, a smooth ride, looks HOT, and has all the techy perks I LOVE. Very iPhone friendly.
Favorite thing about this car: “It’s a COOL car, I’d drive it” – The last day we had the car, his classmate opened the door (safety patrol) and gushed about how COOL it was. And, ahem, it was a GIRL. After that, he has not stopped about how COOL the car is.
Favorite thing about the car: “Radio Disney came in SO clear and I love all the cool things that come on the screen when we drive”
Favorite thing about the car: He was very excited when I let him push the button to start the car. First, he was impressed that no key was needed. Then he realized how cool it was that HE could turn on and off the car by pressing a button, all by himself!
Her favorite thing about the car. Well, I will SHOW you:
