Blue Cheese Stuffed Burgers Recipe – PERFECT for Tailgating

It’s football season! In our home that means family, food, and fun. LOTS of food. Really good food. Living in Florida, we can grill out by the pool almost every weekend throughout football season. There is no snow or freezing temperatures to deal with, so the grill gets fired up for every game. That’s where Kingsford and Walmart come in. We get the best deals on all our tailgating food and grill supplies at Walmart. Kingsford Charcoal is our choice for all our charcoal needs. It gets the job done! And, Walmart always offers the LOWEST prices on beef and our other favorite foods.

One of our family’s FAVORITE tailgating food is the Blue Cheese Stuffed Burger. It is delicious. The whole family loves it. And everyone can add their own toppings to create their favorite burger. I love how easy it is to make and the kids love that they can make it how they like it! Add your favorite side and you’re done!

Blue Cheese Stuffed Burgers ingredients

I love how easy this recipe is. The main ingredients are:

2lbs Walmart ground beef
1/3 cup blue cheese crumbles
1 package cream cheese
package of hamburger buns

Kingsford charcoal for the grill

Toppings & spices of choice. We used sliced tomatoes & onions. We also mixed salt, pepper, and garlic powder to sprinkle over burgers before cooking.

Mix blue cheese crumbles and cream cheese. I used a hand mixer as the block of cream cheese can be hard to mix with a fork.

Make 12 thin patties with your hamburger meat. Spoon cheese mixture onto 6 patties, and top with a second patty. Pinch sides together to keep the cheese inside. At this time, you can sprinkle on your favorite spices. I mixed a few pinches of salt, pepper, and garlic powder together, then sprinkled over each stuffed patty.

Take your patties out to the grill. Cook thoroughly on both sides. Be sure the burgers are cooked all the way through. While the patties are cooking, slice your toppings and prepare your hamburger buns.

Add your favorite sides and voila! I love how easy this recipe is. And I love that all the ingredients and the Kingsford charcoal can be bought at a great price at your local Walmart stores. Now, enjoy your meal and root on your favorite team!

    I tried to make these using my Forman grill…by the time the burgers cooked all the way through, all the cheese had melted out of them…any suggestions?
