“Madagascar Live! Operation: Vacation” premieres tomorrow, May 18th, in Stanleyville Theater at Busch Gardens® Tampa! This new live stage show is a high energy show full of singing, dancing, and tons of FUN! Come along with Alex the Lion, Gloria the Hippo, King Julien, and of course the loveable Penguins on a vacation adventure.
I was able to attend the show yesterday with my two boys (ages 12 and 6). Stanleyville Theater is a fully enclosed theater with plenty of seating and a large stage. We sat 4 rows from the stage and had an awesome view of the show. The moment the characters hit the stage, the audience went wild. Alex the Lion, Gloria, King Julien, and the Penguin characters are very lifelike-their costumes were great! There was no question how much these characters are loved by kids of all ages. The energy of the crowd was very high – I felt like I was at a concert!
The live band was upbeat and on key. Every song engaged the crowd, especially the kids. The audience sang and danced along to songs like “Move It”. It is nearly impossible not to sing or dance along. Not only was the band awesome, the dancers are talented and work hard to keep the audience very involved in the show.
The show runs 20 minutes, which I believe is perfect to keep the attention of the younger children. It’s not too long, and it moves along quickly! As a parent, I thought the length was perfect for both the kids and the parents.
