I mentioned earlier this month that I am in the process of creating information Couponing 101 videos. Videos about REALISTIC couponing, not EXTREME couponing which tends to be unrealistic. These videos will teach you how to be an efficient, effective, organized couponer. I’m still working on them – below are some of the information I will be sharing weekly with you on video:
Where can I find MULTIPLE coupons?
*order additional newspapers if your paper allows (if you happen to be local and get the Orlando Sentinel, check out this Orlando Sentinel deal)
*ask friends, family, and neighbors for their coupon inserts
*join a coupon trading group
*check recycle bins — be sure to ask first if you’re looking in a public recycle bin
*some areas offer discounted Sunday papers midweek (tues or wed)
*auto repair waiting areas
*bagel or other similar restaurants
*trade with friends
Types of coupons:
*Booklets found inside stores
*Peelie Coupons found on products
*Tear pads with coupons – grocery stores & gas stations
*hang tags / wine tags – found on the neck of products
*email manufacturers and ASK for coupons
*internet printable coupons (check the coupon section on my sidebar)
*coupons can be found inside packages after you purchase them
*mobile coupons/texted coupons
How many papers should I buy?
This would really depend on your goal. How many people are in your family? Are you building a stockpile or are you maintaining one? How much storage space do you have? All of these factors will help you decide how many papers you need.
I have a family of 6 and I get 6 papers per week. When I first started I got 10! You can get a preview of what is coming in your Sunday paper HERE. This will help you decide if there are coupons coming that you will use.
