This past week, during the Monkey Kingdom press trip, I was able to visit the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. I expected to see flowers and topiary, but was pleasantly surprised to see much, much more at the festival.
Refresh your sense of spring at the 2015 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival—with fresh seasonal dishes, enchanting Disney character topiaries, complimentary presentations and more! My favorite? The butterfly garden!

Disney Pixar’s Inside Out Emotion Garden
Don’t miss this adorable garden set to the theme of the Pixar Film Inside Out. Inside Out will be in theaters June 19th. This mini-garden feature plants that “inspire your emotions”. You will see: Angry Plants, Disgusting Plants, Fearful Plants, Sad Plants, and Joyous Plants!
Outdoor Kitchens
Hungry? Check out the outdoor kitchens and savor a taste of spring. There is a nice selection of fresh flavors, with seasonal dishes and beverages at each stop. Pick up a booklet at the park to locate the stops easily. Unfortunately, I was not feeling well the day I visited Epcot, so I didn’t get to taste anything, however the sights and smells were delicious!
BUTTERFLY Garden
Do not miss the butterfly garden. The butterflies fly freely as you walk through and learn about their habitat and lifecycle. Check out the box full of Chrysalis. These are amazing and beautiful creatures to watch. Did you know that once the Chrysalis turn into butterflies, they are free to fly out of the enclosure, and many do, and new Chrysalis are formed? So amazing!
Garden Rocks Concert Series
Get your groove on with the Garden Rocks Concert Series featuring popular artists. Check the full schedule HERE. Jon Secada was on stage the day I was visiting. Grab your food and pull up a seat or head down to the front of the stage and get your groove on.
While you’re there, check out the Monkey Kingdom Sand Sculpture. It was almost fully complete when we visited.
After learning so much about nature and habitats, and learning about all the endangered species and conservation projects going out throughout the world, I highly encourage you to consider making a contribution to one of the many conservation funds and help save an animals life!
Be sure to go see MONKEY KINGDOM in theaters NOW. If you can get to the theater by this Thursday, April 23rd, a portion of your ticket will help an endangered animal. You will love this heartwarming movie:
