Exploring Disney World – Without the Kids

Last month, I was honored to attend the Chimpanzee Red Carpet Event with some awesome mom bloggers. We were given a Disney World Park Hopper ticket and set free in the parks for a full day-without the kiddos!  We split up into a few groups and headed out.  I spend the day with Christie, Emily, and Bret.  Our first stop was Animal Kingdom to ride the Everest Roller Coaster.  I’m a HUGE coaster fan- and I absolutely LOVED this ride.  Fast-yes, exciting-yes, and it didn’t make me dizzy 🙂  That’s my kind of ride.

If you enjoy roller coasters,  I highly recommend this ride.  I don’t get to ride roller coasters like this when I take the kids to the park, half are too little, and one of my older kids is still a little nervous about coasters.  So this was a great time to ride!

Next we headed to grab some YUMMY cupcakes. Hopefully my kids don’t read this post and see that mommy had cupcakes for BREAKFAST:

If you have the chance to go to Animal Kingdom, be sure to stop at the Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery and grab a cupcake-they are $3.99 – and worth every single penny.  Promise!  You will NOT be disappointed.  By the way, don’t you think this Disney employee is stunning?  I told her she needs to apply to be a princess at Disney or heck-head to L.A.! She is beautiful!

We park hopped and had a wonderful time at the parks.  We went from Animal Kingdom to Magic Kingdom, then headed to Hollywood Studios.  At Magic kingdom, I HAD to ride my all-time favorites.  It’s just a tradition I can’t miss – the People Mover and the Carousel of Progress.  And don’t forget Pirates of the Caribbean.

Let’s not forget the FOOD.  Check out some of the yummy treats we found.  Plus I added a photo of my delicious reuben I grabbed for lunch.

The last ride we went on was Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios.  I think the photo says it all:

Want to hear even more about our trip?  Check out these awesome blog post about our day from my friend Christie at Average Moms Wear Capes !

Disclosure: I received  a complimentary Disney World park hopper during a Disney Bloggers Event.  However, I was not influenced  in anyway.  The opinions in the post are 100% mine.
