For the entire month of September, 70 of Orlando’s top restaurants will serve up three-course prix-fixe dinners for $30 during Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining Month. In addition, this event will benefit the Edgewood Children’s Ranch, with $1 from every meal being donated to the organization.
This year marks the seventh year that Visit Orlando has launched the Magical Dining Month and continues to grow with the addition of new restaurants to Orlando’s ever-expanding dining scene, including Fogo de Chão, Prickly Pear and Nick’s Italian Kitchen.
While there are 70 restaurants included in this amazing special, I was thrilled to be invited by Visit Orlando to preview the Magical Dining program at Fago de Chão, an authentic Southern Brazilian steakhouse, located on International Drive in Orlando, FL. I was able to partake in the following:
Fogo De Chao Magical Dining Menu

I had been to one other Churrascaria (meats roasted over an open charcoal fire), so I had an idea of what to expect. I was very impressed with the atmosphere of the restaurant, up-scale feeling, but still family friendly. They also have several private rooms, so you could book a private party for the holidays or even a wedding reception. Prior to indulging in the food, I received a tour of the restaurant, including the kitchen, wine cellar & private banquet rooms.
The service was absolutely wonderful, from the hostess directing me to my seat, to the waitress taking my drink order and the gaucho chefs serving the various kinds of meats. My favorite of the meats served was the filet mignon, as it was very tender and juicy. My least favorite was the flank steak, it was very salty. But overall, the variations of meat available were wonderful!
To end the evening, I got the Turtle Cheesecake for dessert, which was absolutely delicious!

Thank you to Visit Orlando and Fogo de Chão for the wonderful dinner and tour. I definitely plan to indulge with a few dates nights with my husband during Orlando’s Magical Dining Month at some of the other restaurants as well.
Let us know which restaurants you check out this month!
