BJ's Party Prep Football

Can you believe it’s already football season? If you’re a football family like ours, your weekends consist of family, friends, food, and football. Usually all at the same time.

We are huge football fans. Both college and NFL football. I was raised in a house of serious Buffalon Bills football fans. My husband was also surrounded by football fans. This has been passed down to my boys. Now I realize that having a football party every weekend may seem over the top. However, we try to have one as often as possible. Coming from a family of 9 children, it always felt like a party when half of the family was home. So now, as an adult, I love having people over and serving good food as it reminds me of my big rowdy family growing up.

I have a small dilemma. I am not a good cook. Just ask the kids. And because I’m just an average cook, I really do not enjoy cooking. Especially for friends. That’s where BJ’s Wholesale Club comes in. They are my bff when it comes to throwing parties. BJ’s has everything we need to have a successful party, no matter the size. This past weekend I got my family of 6 together along with some friends and their kiddos. There was a total of 4 adults, 4 teens (that eat like adults), and 5 kids.

THE PLAN:

My plan was to search Pinterest for some great ideas on decorations and snacks. There were some amazing ideas. However, as I mentioned above, I am not the best cook. That includes baking. I pinned my ideas anyway, then headed to BJ’s for some more inspiration. It worked. I headed to the deli and the bakery and checked out the party platters and the dessert platters. I created my menu around those items. Check out just a few of the items that BJ’s has to offer. Order these ahead and have them hot and ready for pickup at your choosing:

BJ’s is ready for some football! The moment I walked in the door, I found these adorable and delicious Reese’s Football Candies. PERFECT for parties and tailgating. Tip: if you’re tailgating here in Florida, keep these guys in the cooler. If you’re in Buffalo like my parents were for last weeks game, no need for a cooler! Ha!

In a hurry? No time to order and wait? I found this delicious wing platter ready to go:

On my list for this party was BUFFALO wings, fruit tray, veggie tray, popcorn, chips & salsa, burgers, and a large cookie platter. I ordered the wings ahead of time and everything else was available right away.

Choose any 2 LARGE bags of Tostitos (or other chips)  for just $6.99. Having 4 kids, having more than one option is a MUST. We also grabbed a pack of 3 dips to make everyone happy and save on costs. Queso, salsa, and cheese dip. Delicious!

We grabbed a HUGE box of pre-made burgers. So much easier to throw these on the grill (and less mess). We had plenty for all. I also tried BJ’s Pretzel Buns for the first time. WOW WOW WOW these were amazing. A huge hit. I even found my youngest eating a second bun minus the burger because “these are so yummy! They taste like a huge soft pretzel”. She was right. These were so good that they may have been the highlight of the entire party.

Now for MY favorite part of the meal. Dessert! Check out these yummy cookies. Freshly made soft cookies. You have GOT to try the double chocolate chip. So good. I really should have put them on a plate and claimed that I made them myself. Sadly, my kids know better than that.

It was a huge success thanks to BJ’s Wholesale Club. I absolutely LOVE that I didn’t have to hop from store to store to purchase everything for our party. BJ’s had it all. From appetizers to snacks to the main course to dessert. Plus the beverages and paper products were all easily accessible at BJ’s. Remember, you can order ahead and have your food waiting for pickup so it’s fresh for your party. Check out the details HERE.

I love football season! I’m a college football fan though and not to much into Pro. We also have so much fun watching football games with our friends.

My family and I are huge football fans, too! I love to cook, but I usually rely on premade party foods, too. I like all of your selections! Who has time to cook during football season? 🙂

I’ve never been in a BJ’s before but I don’t think they exist here in Arizona.

I am hiding this post from my hubby he will force me to make everything for the next football game! I can’t believe how yummy it all looks. (I so want to try that Chicken Parm) I may have to check out BJ’s deli items so much easier on me if the food is already done (Shhh don’t tell my hubby I am going to pretend I made them lol)

It’s funny because I was always a hockey and basketball (go Blackhawks and Bulls) fan growing up but going away to college definitely changed that. I LOVED going to football games while I was in college (it’s probably one of the things I miss most about college!) <3

I’m not much into football but I love BJ’s. I’ve had the cookies for some events I did not have time to bake for. They are delicious!

I am so NOT the sports fan but with a line up of food, snacks and fun like this I think I would definitely be willing to make an appearance at one of your parties! Great ideas!
