Are your kids interested in soccer? Learn soccer skills and meet some players!
Orlando City Soccer and Seminole County will host a free youth soccer clinic from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at Winter Springs High School, 130 Tuskawilla Road, Winter Springs on Saturday, October 24, 2015.
At no charge, youth under age 17 will have an opportunity to visit soccer stations to practice basic dribbling, passing, and shooting. The Orlando City Street Team will be on site with interactive activities for children, including an inflatable street soccer stadium, while providing information about Orlando City Youth Soccer programs, the professional club itself, and the Orlando City Soccer Foundation. The clinic highlight will be Orlando City player appearances from noon until 12:45PM.
Orlando City Soccer Club agreed to “provide youth soccer scholarships to support youth
soccer programs in Seminole County and conduct free soccer clinics, appearances, and other activities all designed to enhance youth soccer programs, promote education and good health programs for Seminole County youth,” in a 2014 contract with Seminole County. In exchange, Seminole County’s Sylvan Lake Park serves as the official home of the Orlando City Lions training facility.
