In my day to day life as a work at home mom, the word glamour does not come up very often. In fact, it doesn’t come up at all.
Definition of glamour: the attractive or exciting quality that makes certain people or things seem appealing or special.
So, there ya have it. Working from home with four kiddos keeping me on my toes is not the most glamorous. Although I love it more than anything in the world! So, being invited to the JCPenney Glam Ball was a TREAT to say the least. We were given an amazing once in a lifetime opportunity to get all “glammed up” before the Cinderella Movie Premiere courtesy of JCPenney. Below is a glimpse at what was included in this amazing day.
First up? Meeting our princes of course:
Need I say more? I think those pictures are self-explanatory…..
On to makeup:
Not only did my makeup artist do an amazing job on my makeup which included eyes, lips, and cheeks, plus a little under eye help, she also taught me a few tricks I could take home with me. Now maybe, just maybe, I can add a little “glamour” into my life at home too.
Makeup completed! I grabbed a few pictures with my co-princess Tiffany from Daily Leisure. Every girl needs a co-princess, right?
Next up, hair!
I was most nervous about my hair. Why? Have you SEEN my super thick, super curly, super wild hair? But, this amazing hairstylist worked some serious magic on this mom and all I could say was “wow”.
JCPenney knows how to put on an event! And they definitely know how to bring out that princess hiding in every mom. The “glam” side that I didn’t even know existed came out. The confidence that an event like this brings out is beyond words. But wait….we still were not done getting our glam on!
On To ACCESSORIES:

JCPenney offers a wide variety of accessories that are perfect for an evening out like this. Jewelry and purses were on display in every shape and color imaginable. I was able to find a beautiful clutch and a perfect pair of earrings for my evening gown. JCPenney came through again!
After the Glam Ball, we headed to our rooms to complete our look with our evening gowns and shoes. Then, we headed to a pre-reception party put on by JCPenney. On display were beautiful costumes from the Cinderella Movie as well as props.
We also enjoyed appetizers and drinks and plenty of socializing fun.
JCPenney also displayed their Cinderella Movie Children’s line and gifted us all with a beautiful princess dress which my daughter immediately put on.
That’s the real princess in our home – no makeup, hair, or special magic needed for this girl. 100% glam!
This event was definitely a once in a lifetime moment, courtesy of the amazing people at JCPenney. Stay tuned for upcoming posts about my first red carpet experience at the Cinderella Premiere, interviews with cast, director, costume designer, plus Frozen Fever Directors, the movie review, and MORE!
