YAY! So I have received a few emails and facebook comments asking me if Publix has changed their policy and letting me know they have been having major issues with cashiers not accepting some coupons. SO I sent an email asking for an email back (instead of a phone call so that I can PRINT IT AND BRING IT WITH ME). Please note that this is from the Orange City Store Manager. If you are having issues at your Publix, you may want to send an email to corporate and request an email response so you can print it with your managers name on it too.
HERE IS MY EMAIL RESPONSE I RECEIVED FROM CORPORATE:
Thank you for your email. We appreciate our customers taking the time to contact us. We forwarded your email to Store Manager Wayne Soden. Since he does not have access to outside email, he has provided the following:
Per your request, below is clarification for accepting coupons:
Most of the rules around accepting coupons can be found right on the coupon (example: expiration dates).
Manufacturer coupons limit one per item.
We accept one manufacturer coupon along with one Publix coupon per item OR one manufacturer coupon along with one competitor coupon per item. This includes both items of a buy one get one free deal (example: you can use coupons on the item you buy and the item you get free). This change was necessary due recognition that we have been, in some cases, taking too many coupons per a single item.
Thank you, and also thanks to your readers, for shopping at Publix.
Please accept my apologies for any confusion, and if you have any further questions please call me –
Wayne Soden store manager at Orange City Publix!
So as you can see there are NO NEW changes. One manufacturer coupon and ONE store coupon (Publix OR competitor) can be used PER ITEM! yay!
