Green Giant Steamers make it quick and easy to transform hectic weeknights into delicious family dinners. I LOVE using Green Giant Steamers because all I need is a microwave and 5-7 minutes and I have a bag of healthy veggies that my kids love. Kids love veggies??? Ok, you got me. My kids don’t always LOVE their veggies. But, when I strategically place them in their favorite meals, they DO love their veggies.
If you have picky kids like me, you may have a hard time getting the kids to eat their veggies. Here are a few go-to recipes my kids LOVE to eat, and I love to serve because they are easy AND nutritious.
- Macaroni and Brocco-cheese- My kids would eat mac and cheese for breakfast, lunch, AND dinner if I allowed them to. We usually end up having mac and cheese as the main course once a week, and a second time as a side. I add a bag of broccoli to both the main course and the side when making mac and cheese. My kids now call it “Macaroni and Brocco-Cheese”. And they love it! Sometimes we will slice up hot dogs or cubed ham and throw it in as well. Delicious!
- Spaghetti and meatballs AND veggies- I prefer to throw in a bag of Green Giant Steamers into every can/jar or homemade pasta sauce we use even when using the pre-made sauce with veggies already in them. When I add a bag of Green Giant Steamers, I know our family is getting a big serving of vegetables with every meal.
- Grilled cheese and broccoli sandwich- It’s exactly what it sounds like! Ooey Gooey melted cheddar cheese on buttery bread with broccoli pieces. It is delicious. Just place your sandwich in a skillet with a little butter and MMMMM.
