How is week one of 2018 going for you?
Our first week was quite busy. We rang in the new year with fireworks and food with family. We added a new family member the last week of 2017 and after about a week, she is adjusting great. “Pip” is our now 3 month old kitten.
On New Years Eve, my Buffalo Bills played an amazing game and we are in the playoffs….finally….it’s been almost 20 years. And my UCF Knights played just as well on New Years Day and won the Peach Bowl. Now THAT was a great start to the new year. Tuesday we started back to work only to decide last minute on Wednesday morning to drive north and chase some snow!
When we heard there was snow just 4 hours away, we decided to pack up the kids, gloves, some jackets, and head up for lunch and snow play. We ended up in Savannah, GA, and it was a win-win. We not only saw the white stuff falling, but there were 1-2″ accumulated so the kids got to enjoy some play time. We left at 1030am and got back home around 11pm. A day trip to see snow. We will also save a ton of money because we usually chase the snow when a storm is heading toward North Carolina. Which consists of renting a cabin last minute, lots of gas money, and ski tickets. Four hours away y’all!
Today, we added a NEW driver to our family. Our 15 year old received her permit. We now have TWO drivers. Watch out Lake Mary, Florida! The kids are growing up. We currently have a Junior, Freshman, 6th Grader, and 4th grader. Busy crew, but oh so fun.
So, as you can see, our first week of 2018 has been ahh-mazing! Hoping the rest of the year will be just as awesome as the first week.
