Last month I picked up some hot-fudge-sundae cupcakes that the kids absolutely loved! At $3 per cupcake I figured I could make the same cupcake myself for a whole lot LESS! And I did. Here’s how – make your favorite chocolate cupcake mix or recipe. Then, when they are cooled, use whipped cream topping, hot fudge sauce (we love Smuckers), nuts, sprinkles and top with a cherry! It’s not rocket science! Even for ME!!! The kids LOVED the cupcakes just as much as the bakery prepared version. AND they were able to create their own masterpiece!
OR if you prefer to use frosting, then add the toppings, here is a great buttercream frosting recipe:
3 cups Confectioners Sugar
1/8 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
