Disclosure: This post was created in connection with my appointment as a contributor to the Family Dollar.
School is back in session and just when I thought that I’d have more time on my hands, reality set in. Yes, the kids are at school for a few hours each day, but we also added on the hours of homework, projects, sports practice, games, and youth group at church is back in session. That extra time I thought I had, doesn’t exist. I now have very limited time to cook, shop, and run errands.
I’m happy to announce that Family Dollar has a new program to help me not only save time, but save money as well. Everyone knows how much I love to coupon. But, working full time, driving kids from activity to activity, cooking, cleaning, etc, it’s so hard to find the time to sit down and search through the ads and clip and then keep track of them. Family Dollar has come up with a solution. Introducing “Smart Coupons“. No printer or newspaper required!
Simply head over to the Family Dollar Smart Coupons page and sign up to create an account. If you’re mobile, you can text SMART to 28767 to receive a link to sign up on your mobile device.
All you need to sign up is your 10 digit phone number, preferably a mobile number, first and last name, email address, and password.
Sign in and start clipping your coupons. You can search “all” or search by category. There are plenty to choose from.
Now, head to the store and shop! When you head up to the register, simply give your phone number and the coupons that you clipped previously will come off your total.
After signing up online, which was extremely easy to do, we headed to Family Dollar to grab some back to school deals and a few other items on my list.
*Note: Deals in the ad & easel sign are valid for a limited time only*
First stop, school supplies. We were happy to find some of the lowest prices around. 50¢ filler paper!
Next we headed over and restocked our back to school house essentials. Dish soap, laundry detergent, and more. Once we finished we headed to the register. I simply typed in my phone number as the cashier rang up my order. No key card, coupons, or membership card required! My savings came off automatically and I was able to save time and money.
I absolutely fell in love with this fun animated video explaining how to use:
Weekly Ads will be one of the online sources where you can find supermarket deals.
