LEGOS are the only toys my son is into these days. You’re guaranteed to find 1 or 2 laying around in any room of the house. He’s been dying to go to LEGOLAND but the price is a bit much for us at the moment. It’s something he’s been saving his pennies for all year. Well, with this awesome partnership between LEGOLAND, Walmart, Coca-Cola, and Toys for Tots going on we’re finally going to go!
Right now you have the opportunity to enjoy LEGOLAND while giving back to a child at the same time! Now through December 31st, 2016, kids go FREE to LEGOLAND, Florida. All you have to do is visit a participating Central Florida Walmart store, purchase a toy valued at $5 or more, then donate the unwrapped toy outside the theme park ticket windows and purchase an adult ticket at the same time. You’ll need to save your toy receipt to show at the ticket window.
For us, Christmas time has always been a time to give back. We donate toys every year to children in need and sometimes work the soup kitchen if our schedules permit. I’ve made sure to teach my son that there is more important things in this world, and that if you’re capable, giving back is always a great thing to do. So the fact that he can give back, and enjoy LEGOLAND at the same time sounded great to him. The donated toys will benefit kids in Florida’s Polk County, home of LEGOLAND Florida Resort, through the Toys for Tots program.
Since my son is into LEGOS and Ninja Turtles, he headed straight for that aisle to pick out his toy. He figured other kids would like the same types of things that he does. After carefully scanning the aisles for a few minutes he finally decided on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Half Shell Heroes Playset.
At the participating Walmart locations, there will be clearly marked promotional signs to help you out. It’s any $5 or more toy. (Our Walmart did not have signage by the toys, but they DID have signage over by the Coca Cola products)
LEGOLAND, Florida is fun for everyone in the family. Their Christmas Bricktacular Celebration is a must see. From fully decorated Christmas trees made out of LEGOS to life sized Santa mini figures. Your family will have a blast while helping out a child in need at the same time. There is nothing better than that!
