MACARONI & CHEESE RECIPE

12 ounces of uncooked macaroni shells
pinch of salt
1/4 cup flour
2 cups skim milk
3/4 tsp onion powder
1 cup low-fat shredded Cheddar cheese, sharp! (do not use fat-free cheese, it will not melt correctly)
- Cook pasta in lightly salted boiling water as directed on package. Strain and return to pot.
- Blend together skim milk, flour, and onion powder in stovetop pan. Bring to a boil stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer til thick (approx 1-2 min). Remove pan from heat and mix in cheese. Add sauce to pasta; toss to mix and coat.
