I hope everyone had a very happy New Years Eve & New Years Day! I enjoyed all of the quality family time with my kids, husband, and extended family.
Another new year. New beginnings. New resolutions. I just love the feeling of a fresh, clean calendar. Did you make resolutions this year? I think this is the very first year that I didn’t say “On January 2nd I will start dieting”. I started my healthy journey on December 8th and began losing weight almost right away. Here’s the thing..if you did make a new years resolution to lose weight this year, I have a suggestion for you. I don’t like the four letter word diet anymore. I have tried this “diet” thing for the last 16 years and it just never worked. I encourage you instead, to change those unealthy habits to healthy habits, one habit at a time. If you’re like me, you probably thought all those “diets” you have tried were just too hard to stick to. They are time consuming and very hard to maintain. I promise you that I thought the same exact thing. But, I’m here to tell you that Optavia is NOT “diet”. It’s a way to change those unhealthy habits and start getting healthy and feeling good again.
Making a resolution is easy. Putting in the work to keep it up and follow through is not always as easy. If your resolution is to lose the extra weight and get healthy again, Optavia is a great way to accomplish those goals.

This Weeks Results
I just finished up week 3 on the Optavia program. Before I tell you about my weight loss, I want to talk about how good I feel. Yes, I have more energy. Yes, I feel more positive. Yes, I’m getting more sleep. But if I’m being 100% honest and transparent with you, the reason I feel especially good this week has nothing to do with any of that. I’m feeling GREAT because my favorite jeans finally fit me. And I don’t look like I painted them on! I have had this pair of jeans in my drawer that I bought early last year for a trip. I loved them. They are comfortable and when I bought them I remember my 14yr old at the time saying “MOM, those look great! Finally a pair that don’t look like MOM jeans”. That stuck with me. And as I packed on pounds over the next year, I sadly had to hide them in the back of my drawer and pull out my old friend…leggings. I’m sure I’m not alone here. We must all have a pair of trusty, stretchy leggings, right? I do love my leggings. But when I can ONLY fit into leggings, that is a bad sign.
Ok, on to the weight loss… this week I have lost an additional 2 pounds. That is a total of 12 pounds in 3 weeks. I’m over the moon! I know that I am fat burn because I am feeling less hungry and more energized, and losing weight at a steady rate. And, my favorite jeans fit. Ha! A HUGE plus. And MY big win this week!!
