I am on my way to optimal health and wellness! And I’m going to share my journey with all of you. I have joined OPTAVIA . I don’t want to call it a diet. It’s more of a lifetime transformation of my health. By transforming and making healthier choices in life, the outcome will be weight loss! This is not a quick fix, but a new way of life.
OPTAVIA offers four components to support you as you begin your journey toward Lifelong Transformation, One Healthy Habit at a Time. Here is a little bit about each component:
- Your OPTAVIA Coach guides and supports you throughout your journey to Optimal Health™ & Wellbeing. I love this. I personally need someone to keep me motivated and to be there if I need help or if I need someone to celebrate milestones with. Your Coach will be there to help steer you to success. Your Coach will guide you through the Habits of Health and help you develop healthy new habits and make healthy choices that lead to lifelong transformation. A health coach is a vital piece to the program.
- The Habits of Health many programs fail because they are a quick fix and do not teach healthy habits. OPTAVIA’s approach is different. The Habits of Health system will help you learn and adopt new healthy habits in bite-sized pieces that they call micro habits, which lead to Lifelong Transformation. It helps you replace unhealthy habits with healthy ones that contribute to your long-term success.
- The Optavia Community is available to support you along with your coach. OPTAVIA has a large community of like-minded people that will support you throughout your journey. This includes video conferences and calls, nutrition support, online groups, and more
- Scientifically Proven Fuelings and Plans are easy to follow. The Optimal Weight 5&1 Plan which I am currently on will jumpstart your optimal weight journey. It consists of 5 daily meals provided by OPTAVIA called “fuelings”. You get to choose from 60+ delicious, convenient, and nutritional Fuelings. I began my journey this Friday. I am on day 3 today. I have been following the 5&1 plan, eating 5 of the OPTAVIA Fuelings and one lean and green that I prepare myself. I have increased my water intake to 64-80 oz each day. I know that I am not supposed to weigh myself so soon, but I did, and I am down 5 pounds from Thursday. I’m excited to continue and look forward to healthy results.
I also wanted to mention that I am not exercising. This is not by choice. I had back surgery 10 days ago. I can not exercise for 6 weeks. As the doctor allows, I will walk more and more each week.
