I created the above shopping spreadsheet / chart to help me in the store when I’m shopping at Publix but this could be used for any store! I love having this to help me know when I’ve reached a $30 threshold for use of a Winn Dixie $5/$30 coupon.
I write down everything as I put it in the cart, the quantity of the item, the price of the item as well as the total for all of the like items. Then I put in the coupons that I have to use towards those items. Then I subtract my total coupons from my price total to see how much it will be after coupons are applied.
At the end, I subtract the additional store $/$$ coupons if applicable, then I will know exactly what my total should be before tax!
This is a simple table that I created in Word. You can also create the same in an Excel spreadsheet. I’ve also heard people using their iPhones or iPads using an app called iSpreadsheet. I personally like to write the stuff down, but either way you do it, I think it’s a huge help.
Do you use anything to help you when you shop?

Weekly Ads will be one of the online sources where you can find supermarket deals.
Is there anyway to send me a copy of that sheet that I can print out or can you tell me how to make one. I don’t shop at Publix but I am just starting out couponing and this would be a great help. Thank you
I just use the calculator on my phone. Before I go to the store – if I’m going somewhere I frequent – I will write down the “normal” price of the item next to it on my list so I can compare the shelf price vs what I usually pay. I find that helps me get the most out of my money
What a neat Idea, I use hubby, he is good with math and keeps things moving for me.
I created an excel spreadsheet. I do as much fill in as possible before the store. I created formulas to do the math for me. Most of the time I print it out and have extra lines for other items not pre-planned. Sometimes I will upload it onto my IPad … But like you, I like writing things down and checking things off my list.
I also have created an excel spreadsheet. It looks much like what you have above. This way if I am unable to do the shopping and have to send my dear hubby, he can have an exact list. I am unable to go into grocery stores any more as I’ve become deathly allergic to shellfish, and can not even breath it, so this helps greatly, especially when they have 6 for $6.00 sales, I can group them together and explain to him that these specific items MUST be devisable by 6. LOL
