Today we stocked up on meat! Earlier I posted that we are starting over this year so we can help out all the NEW couponers out there. We got rid of last years coupons and started fresh. We are going to start from scratch and take you along every step of the way so you can see how we do it!
Our first trip was a success! We stocked up on meat. As I posted earlier, FRESH MARKET has a great ad this week. And today, their chicken was $2.99/lb. If you have tasted their meats and produce, you know it is high quality. LAST WEEK, I went to purchase items for my husbands office (coffee) and received a $10 off $50 coupon. I have two. I used one today and did this:
GROUND TURKEY $2.99/lb
Skinless Boneless chicken breast $2.99/lb
Hint Water (to get my total over $50)
Subtotal: $51.01
-$10/$50
$41.01 for 16.6 pounds of our favorite meats.
What I LOVE about Fresh Market is that they will individually wrap each breast if you prefer. LOVE that. I may go back later this week to grab some steak that is on sale. I still have the $10/$50, but I may choose to use it at Publix this week…..
TIP: What is stockpiling? Stockpiling is NOT hoarding. Stockpiling is what you do when you see WHAT YOU NEED is at your lowest price point. You purchase enough of it to last you until that item goes on sale again. Note: this is different for every family. Also, sales go in cycles, so, start to learn when your items are on sale and how often.
