Last week we received the X6 Zoom Rocket & the Zano Bow from ZING and decided we would celebrate the first day of summer vacation from school by playing in the field with all our new toys!
First up was the X6 Zoom Rocket pictured below. My almost 8 year old was able to set it up all by himself without any adult help needed (love that!). The X6 Zoom rocket shoots rockets into the sky when you step on the “peddle” – that is what my kiddos called it. Of course, my son didn’t just step on the peddle, he jumped up as high as he could and landed on the “peddle”. The higher he jumped, the higher the rocket went.
My daughter enjoyed the rockets and jumped in with both feet too once she got used to it. My favorite thing about this toy is that it is auto-loading. The kids can enjoy 6 rockets before having to reload or reset the toy. The powerful jumping motion causes the launchpad to spin to the next rocket. Once all 6 rockets have blasted through the sky, it’s time to reset and start the fun all over again! The box reads ages 8+ but my almost 8 year old and my 6 year old had a blast!
The Zing X6 Zoom Rocket can be found at Target and Walmart.
Next up was the Zano Bow. The Zano Bow is recommended for ages 4 and up. All 4 of my kids had fun with this toy (ages 6 – 13!) And I even gave it a whirl. I need to work on my target practice, but I had a great time.
My 6 year old daughter had a little trouble putting on the “arrow” at first, but once my son explained it a few times, she had it down! Just hook hook the arrow onto the rubber bands, pull back, and let it fly!
We attached the target to our garage door and took turns. I never got a bullseye, but the kids did. I need some more practice.
The Zano Bow can be purchased on Amazon.
