I took a “coupon break” this week as we have so much going on with end of school parties & activities, baseball & softball tournaments, church functions, and summer planning. It looks like I may take this coming week off too as the activities are taking up all of my free time.
As a regular couponer, I have managed to keep a nice stockpile to help out on weeks like this. I rarely need to buy items like cereal, chicken, quick meals, cheese, etc as when there is a good sale I stock up! And I don’t think I will need to buy hygiene products for a long, long time. Today, we did need some fresh produce, milk, and a few other things for parties, so I headed to my favorite non-coupon store: ALDI! Here’s what I grabbed for $23:
(3) Gallons of skim milk $1.88 each (wow!)
(1) 3pk of Zucchini .99
(1) 3pk of Squash .99
(2) bags of pretzels $1.19 each *for school
(1) dozen Eggs .99
(2) boxes of instant oatmeal $1.49 each
(2) loaves of bread .99
(2) Large Green Peppers $1.39 total
(2) Bags of Frozen Strawberries$1.99 each
All of the prices were pretty decent in my opinion (for non-coupon shopping)!! I was sad to see the fresh blueberries & strawberries went WAY up compared to last week, so we skipped those. I’m hoping we will not need to shop again until next Sunday -where I plan to do another Aldi run for produce, milk, eggs, bread only.
